1-to-3 sits between single-spot and 1-to-5: three joints per cycle, which fits harnesses with a moderate number of branches. With fewer points the height variation between them is easier to control, and the fixture does not need the full level-face solution that 1-to-5 demands — changeover stays more flexible.
