Battery pack spot welding is a different job from harness welding: the work is a thin stack of tabs and busbars, the weld area is small and the layer count high, and whether the stack welded through is judged from the displacement curve rather than from pressure. Battery work also demands no spatter — a single metal flake can scrap a whole pack.
